Any dog can be obedience trained. He does not have to have “purebred papers” (AKC, UKC, etc.) to compete in obedience. He can be registered as an altered (neutered or spayed) representative of his breed. Or he can be registered as a mixed breed dog and compete in several different kennel clubs, including AMBOR or ASCA events
