February 2, 2022 – Built 2 new doghouses to replace the worst 2 before the next big storm hits. These are made from 1 sheet of 3/4″ plywood (top & bottom) & 1 sheet of 1/2″ ply (walls) with 9 pressure treated 2x4s. Don’t do the math, it’s horrifying how much wood costs, these days, but necessary. Four more to go. (Edit: when I built the original doghouses, back when Sunny reigned as Queen of Wayeh, I used 1/2″, 1/4″ and PT 2x2s. They lasted a good long while, 10+ years, and cost less than half as much. I’m hoping these last much longer with upgraded materials and a new design.)
