There was Makita, Sasquatch, and Yukon Jack.  They started it all...

Makita Sasquatch Yukon Jack

(Note the common theme of the recliner...)

I got them from a Back yard breeder (BYB) - I didn't know any better at that time <G> They were the giant loves of my life. I had those brother and sisters for 8 very short years. Born Aug 1985..

Makita was 36", 145 lbs, died of kidney failure at 4 years old.

Sasquatch was 36", 152 lbs, died of osteosarcoma at 8 years of age.

Yukon Jack was 37", 155 lbs, could speak English ("Pizza and I love You, Mom), died of osteosarcoma at 8 years of age, the last one of a litter of 9.

After Yukon was alone, I found Tessa kennels and Corsair and brother Charles.
